On a date with Bagmati.

Some meetings in life are quite unexpected and this was one. River Bagmati flows quietly through the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. She appears serene but on a closer look at the Cleaning campaign yesterday, I was in for surprises but quite disturbing. She was pondering over all that was thrown over her, there was garbage of all sorts. You name it and you found it there. Rivers are the life of any city or for that matter, any place. We need it the most and we care for it the least. Bagmati is just one one of those many.

The campaign, however, was an eye-opener on many ways. It brought people together. It taught the value of coming together. It also taught the greatest lessons of all time: Be part of the  changethat you want to see in this world.

Going out and doing our part, grabbing those gumboots, shovels, gloves and masks, digging out all those bits of plastic that was suffocating her. I'm more than glad and filled with gratitude now.

Now it's time to keep up the good work.
